Ultrasonic LeakDetect™

Problem Area:

Our client noticed signs of blistering along the bottom of the dining room wall (corresponding to the master bedroom bathroom vanity basin) in their condo unit. They engaged our Ultrasonic leak detection service to identify the presence of any potential water pipe leakage.

Methodology and findings:

The ultrasonic leak detector was placed along the suspected master bedroom vanity basin pipeline. No abnormal readings were captured along the suspected water supply line, narrowing down the possibility to a potential waterproofing system failure through the method of elimination. The consultation was then coupled with a physical inspection of the main water meter and tell-tale signs, which confirmed that it was not a concealed pipe leak.

Recommended next-steps:

To conduct polyurethane (PU) injection grouting to seal the existing gaps and cracks at the blistering wall areas and further monitoring with normal use of the master bedroom toilet.
